Child Care
For the first time EGU provides its own professional Child Care facilities in the congress center. Two separate rooms will be available close to the lecture room areas but not within the hectic and turmoil of the congress. The service will be provided from Monday, 16 April – Friday, 20 April 2007 split into two time blocks per day:

The organizers kindly ask a financial contributions of 10,- EUR per child and time block. Our capacity is limited to 50 children per block and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Please fill out the Childcare Request Form.
If you participate, you can choose between two rooms (next to each other):
- The playing-room where professional childminder take great care of your child (age 3 – 8). Please note that no food or drinks will be provided and that there is no possibility for a nap.
- The discovery lab for young (geo)scientists (age 4 – 12). Please find further information below.
Earth, Water, Air – Discovery Workshop for Kids
The UNISchullabor Bremen (University of Bremen and marum research center, Germany) will provide a discovery workshop where children (age 4 – 12) conduct experiments with the subjects Hydrological and Rock Cycles. This pedagogic tutorial will be leaded by Dr. Martina Pätzold and qualified helpers at least in German and English. Other languages are intended. The discovery workshop is open Monday – Friday, 8:30–16:00.
