Social events 

Two social events are planned for the conference: the ice-breaker party, which will take place on the evening before the conference, and the conference dinner that will be held on the second day of the conference.

Ice-breaker party

The ice-breaker will be held on the eve before the conference (11 September) at the conference venue (Montanistika building). We will offer participants early registration and the opportunity for informal conversation at the open bar. A guided tour of the largest geological collection (minerals, rocks, ores, fossils) in Slovenia and a visit to the natural stone used for the Faculty of Science and Engineering building (VR) will also be organised.

Conference dinner

The conference dinner will be held at Ljubljana Castle. This picturesque venue offers an astounding view of Ljubljana's city centre and is easily accessible by a cable car from the city centre to the castle. The conference dinner offers attendees the opportunity to experience the best of local Slovenian cuisine and wines. The price of the dinner includes round-trip transportation by cable car to the castle, a four-course dinner with wine accompaniment, a guided tour of the geological collection and outcrops of Carboniferous rocks and fossils in the castle cellar, and an unforgettable surprise.
