Information - BG2.01 Environments of Life on Early Earth
Event Information
The aim of this session is to bring together research on the environment and manner in which life appeared and evolved on Earth during the Archaean and Early Proterozoic. Focus will be on the geological conditions and chemical environments at or near the surface of Early Earth and on the interactions between the atmosphere, hydrosphere and crust in providing suitable ecological niches for ancient microbial life.
