  Information - TS2.1 Crustal extension: from syn-orogenic extension to the formation of rifted margins

Event Information
We welcome abstracts about all aspects of crustal extension: from
regional studies in orogens or crustal wedges to geophysical studies of
rifted margins. Abstracts about extensional fault segmentation, role of
lateral ramps and relay zones; Differentiating between syn- and post-
orogenic extension, extensional exhumation of metamorphic rocks,
low-angle ductile-brittle detachments, extensional domes; Distinguishing
single from multiple phases of extension, balancing extended regions;
Activity of low-angle detachments; Interplay between extension and
fluids or magma; fluid flow along extensional pathways; isotopic and
mineralogical evidences, extension related volcanism; Analogue,
numerical and thermomechanical modelling of extension, mid- or lower-
crustal flow during extension, extension-related seismogenesis; Basin
architecture related with extensional fault geometry.

Preliminary List of Solicited Speakers
Marta Pérez Gussinye and César Ranero (CSIC) will give a talk about non-volcanic rifted margins.

Juan Ignacio Soto (UGR): Are the Betics still collapsing.

Rob Westaway will give a talk about the mechanics of low-angle normal faulting
