Information - SSP14/CL042 Lake systems: sedimentary archives of climate change and tectonics (co-organized by CL)
Event Information
Lakes make excellent sedimentary archives. Thanks to recent methodological advances and an increased interdisciplinarity in the approach, the study of modern lake records has provided in recent years several high-quality, high-resolution, well-calibrated reconstructions of impacts on the lacustrine system of regional climate changes, tectonics, volcanic activity, earthquake frequency, human influence,...
For this session we invite oral and poster contributions that deal with all aspects of exploring the full potential of the sedimentary archive of modern lake systems. In particular, we welcome contributions that result from multidisciplinary investigations of lacustrine systems.
