Information - AS3.09 CHABLIS (Chemistry of the Antarctic Boundary Layer and the Interface with Snow) (co-listed in CR)
Event Information
The aim of this session is to present recent work concerning:
- the chemistry of the Antarctic boundary layer;
- the chemistry of snowpack interstitial air;
- exchange processes (driven both by chemistry and physical processes) between the snowpack and the overlying atmosphere.
Contributions are welcome from field observations, modelling and laboratory studies.
A particular focus of this session is the recent year-round measurement campaign at Halley station (the CHABLIS campaign), but we also welcome presentations studying these phenomena at other sites in Antarctica and elsewhere.
