Location of the venue

The 17th Plinius Conference on Mediterranean Risks will take place at the Villa Mondragone, southeast of Rome, Italy.

Villa Mondragone is part of the Tuscolane Villas Complex, which includes twelve monumental Renaissance factories built on the hills of the Volcano Latium southeast of Rome. It is situated on a hill at 416 m above sea level located between the municipalities of Frascati and Monte Porzio Catone (to which it belongs).

How to reach the Villa Mondragone Congress Centre

Arrival by plane

  • From Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci Airport": Take the direct train "Leonardo Express" to Roma Termini train station. The train is leaving every 30 minutes. Continue from Termini train station (see below)
  • From "Ciampino Airport": Take the COTRAL bus to the underground terminal of Anagnina; then follow the Rocca Priora bus directions from Anagnina (see below).

Arrival by train

From Roma Termini train station

Take the Metro A, direction Anagnina station, and get off at Anagnina station (last stop).
From the Anagnina Metro A station continue in one of the following ways:

  1. By bus: Take the COTRAL bus in the direction of Rocca Priora via Monte Porzio Catone and get off at the Hotel Villa Vecchia bus stop. In any case it is advisable to ask the driver because usually they stop upon request.
  2. By car or taxi: Take A1 Milan-Naples motorway or the A24 Rome–L’Aquila/Pescara motorway and follow the direction Roma Sud. Exit at Monte Porzio Catone. From the motorway exit, turn right. Drive along via Fontana Candida; at the roundabout follow the signs for Monte Porzio Catone and at the second roundabout turn left into via Frascati 51.

From the centre of Rome by car

Take the G.R.A. towards the A1 Rome–Naples motorway. Exit Monte Porzio Catone. From the motorway exit, turn right. Drive along via Fontana Candida; at the roundabout follow the signs for Monte Porzio Catone and at the second roundabout turn left into via Frascati 51.
