General Information
No waiving of registration fees – For methods of pre-registration see below!
We do not send any invoices nor do we accept any orders or bank transfers unless you use the COSIS online shop!
Please, renew your membership in the EGU or in the AGU prior to your registration at membership rates!
In general, each participant in an EGU General Assembly has to pay a registration fee. These fees will be waived only for scientists receiving a "Support Award" or an "Union Award or Medal".
The registration fee includes free local transportation from Monday – Saturday, 25 – 30 April 2005, participation in the meeting, the programme book and the abstract CD-Rom, and free refreshments during coffee breaks and wine during the daily afternoon poster session from 17:00–19:00.
Pre-Registration
Participants are advised to register in advance at reduced pre-registration rates. The final deadline for pre-registration is 08 April 2005! For methods of pre-registration see below. The payment of the pre-registration has to be effected until the corresponding deadlines.
On-Site Registration
On-site registration (On-Site Rates) will be possible at the congress counter located in Hall Z on:

Participants are required to complete an on-site registration form and then to pay their registration fee at the corresponding registration counter. On-site registration payments may be made in cash in EURO (EUR), by cheque or by credit card (American Express, Eurocard/ Mastercard/VISA or JCB). Participants who wish to register on-site at membership rates should renew their membership at least 3 weeks prior to the meeting.
Attention: Cheques will only be accepted when written in the currency of the country of the bank on which the cheques are actually drawn and when a cheque fee of the equivalent of 15,- EUR per cheque has been added!

Methods of Pre-Registration
There are two options for pre-registration independently of the method payment:

| Please use the COSIS online shopping system at no additional service charges, in particular in case you want to pay by credit card online. You will be asked to register with COSIS first, so please have your COSIS ID-Nr. and password ready; then use "Online Service => Cosis Shop", "Navigation => All-All-Search / List of Providers" and continue with "select". | Please complete the pre-registration form and send it online or print out the form and send it by fax or mail to the EGU office in Germany. Please attach/enclose your proof of status, i.e., a copy of your student card or of your identification card in case you want to register at student or emeritus rates, and of your EGU membership card in case you want to register at membership rates.
For the extra service of a registration via the pre-registration form an additional fee of 10,- EUR will be levied! |
Conditions and Cancellation Policy
- Pre-registration must be accompanied by a payment, otherwise it will not be processed and the on-site registration rates will be taken as a basis.
- We do not send any invoices. We do not accept orders. We do not accept bank transfers.
- Registration fees are not transferable.
- Registration fees will only be refunded, if the notice of cancellation is received by the EGU office before 08 April 2005. The cancellation fee is 50,- EUR.
Importance Notice
Once your payment has been effected you will be informed and receive your receipt and eventually your EGU membership card.
A pro-forma invoice and/or an invoice and/or a receipt can be obtained online via COSIS. All registrations and membership subscriptions will be registered through the COSIS administration tool which will also allow the registrants to monitor their input.
