General Remarks

  • Abstracts should be short (500 words excluding headings), clear, concise and written in English with correct spelling and good sentence structure.
  • Mathematical symbols and equations must be typed in, and metric symbols should be used. Figures and tables should not be included!
  • We recommend that the abstract is carefully compiled and thoroughly checked, in particular with regard to the list of authors, before submission in order to avoid last minute changes.
  • The submission of an abstract carries with it the obligation that it is actually presented at the meeting by the author or, at least, by one of the co-authors!

Please describe the issues you are addressing as well as your key findings!

Abstract Acceptance

You are invited to submit an abstract for oral or poster presentation. Abstracts need to be submitted and organized in a way to feed into the thematic sections. The SC and LC will take responsibility to blind review and select abstracts for oral or poster presentation. If your abstract is accepted for the Storm Surges Congress 2010 you will receive a notification until 19 May 2010. Abstracts must follow the format suggested and must be submitted online by 30 April 2010.

After an abstract has been accepted, regular papers of about eight to ten pages including all figures, tables and references have to be submitted to the steering committee in order to be reviewed for potential publication in the conference products.
