This guided tour takes you through Göttingen's inner city and its history, spanning from medieval times through the founding of Göttingen University to today. It starts on 7 June at 17:30 on Wilhelmsplatz, in front of the Assembly Hall (Wilhelmsplatz 1, 37073 Göttingen (see map)). Please inquire at the conference desk if you haven't registered and would like to take part.
On this tour you will take a look at the past, present and future of one of Germany's biggest and most innovative scientific libraries, the SUB Göttingen. It starts on 7 June at 17:30 at Heinehof, in front of the entry to the SUB Historical Building (see map). Please inquire at the conference desk if you haven't registered and would like to take part.
The get-together evening commences right after the tours, at about 19:30 on 7 June. It takes place in LOKALneun, a restaurant focused on food classics with an emphasis on local, seasonal and organic ingredients. The address is Kurze-Geismar-Straße 9. Take the passage from Kurze Geismar-Straße to the Wochenmarkt and look for the staircase to the first floor. This event is self-paid; the menu is available on-line (in German).

The conference dinner on 8 June will take place at Planea restaurant. Located right next to the Historical Observatory, residence and work place of famous scholar Carl Friedrich Gauss, this place breathes scientific history. The reception starts at 19:00.
Registration is requested by completing the dinner registration form and paying in advance.
