Guidelines for presenters

Speakers

  • Please look for the date, time, session and location of your speech on the conference programme schedule and plan your arrival at the conference accordingly.
  • Allow 5–10 minutes for questions after your presentation.
  • Please submit your presentation files in advance to elpub2016@sub.uni-goettingen.de.
  • Speak to your session chair during the break prior to your speech at the latest to check if your presentation is uploaded and runs smoothly.
  • Just in case: it is a good idea to have a PDF version of your presentation on a USB stick as a backup.
  • Avoid running the presentation from your own laptop, as we would like to record all contributions to the conference and this requires specific software to be present on the presenter's computer.
  • If you agree to be recorded please sign and return the consent form (English, German) to elpub2016@sub.uni-goettingen.de. Also, please make sure that the presentation does not contain any copyright material.
  • Remember to send a small bio and a picture of the presenter for your session chair and to be uploaded to the website.

Poster Submitters

  • You will receive all information and material to hang your poster during registration for the conference (on 8 June, 08:30–09:30). Posters should be mounted before the conference starts on the first day of the main conference.
  • Poster boards are available up to DIN A0 (84,1 cm x 118,9 cm), for both portrait- and landscape hanging.
  • You could also upload the poster on Easychair or email it to us as a digital copy, but this is not compulsory. Please note that even if you send us a digital copy, you will still need to bring a printed one to the exhibition.
  • The Poster Focus will consist of a short presentation of each poster (1–2 minutes) and the poster exhibition, where you will need to be available at your poster for questions and discussion.
  • If you agree to be recorded please sign and return the consent form (English, German).
  • Please take down your poster within half an hour after the end of the last session on the last day of the conference. After this time, the remaining posters will be disposed of by the conference staff.
