Dick van der Wateren, the press officer, before starting his company Landforms – Science & Media, had nearly 30 years of experience as an earth scientist and secondary school teacher. His research took him to places all over Europe, Spitsbergen, Iceland, Antarctica and Southern Africa. His research interests are glacial geology and geomorphology, polar and arid regions, climate change, structural geology and sedimentology.

Landforms – Science & Media specializes in science communication and is dedicated to sharing a fascination for the natural sciences with the public, with a particular focus on young people.
