Report - GI9 Down hole Instrumentation: Technology and Applications (co-listed in GM, GMPV, PS, SSP & SSS)

Report
GI9 Down hole Instrumentation: Technology and Applications (co-listed in GM, GMPV, PS, SSP & SSS)Report.
We got a total of 14 contributions:
- 5 oral communications while 6 slots was offered. Unfortunatly none of the other contributors agreed in changing from poster choice to oral.
- 9 posters, but 4 of them (Espiko x2, Dureja and Carizzoni) did not show up without any prior notice.

Suggestion to have those main-authors (and co-authors ?) black-listed for one year could be envisionned?

Overall, the talks and posters covered various aspect of downhole instrumentation and data systems. Talks and posters were of very high quality. We have been able to use the extra oral slot for a short (20 min) open discussion on topic discussed in the morning oral session.

An attempt to add an "hydrocarbon session" in Energy Ressources and Climate division co-listed with GI is initiated.

In a personnal point of view, I chaired this session for the first time. I enjoyed the professional environment and high level of service provided before, during and after this assembly. My co-conveners and myself will be please to serve next year.

All the best,

P. Gaillot
