Report - BG7.01/PS1.8/PS11 Robotic solar system exploration and the search for evidence of life on Mars

Report
The session was very well attended throught the three session blocks. For some talks we had many attendees standing along the walls as the seats were largely filled. It appeared that the session attracted people from various disciplines all related to astrobiology and Mars exploration. Considering that this was the first time this session was part of the program we hope to experience increasing interest at EGU 2006. Many presenters and attendees have indicated that they consider attending in 2006, as EGU has grown to a highly regarded international and interdisciplinary geoscience conference and appreciated that the field of astrobiology has become part of it with a dedicated session.
