Climate scenarios can be defined as relevant, plausible and internally consistent pictures of how the climate may look like in the future. Scenarios with high spatial and temporal resolution are required for many climate impact and adaptation assessment studies. The best method to obtain such scenarios is by combining GCM results, RCM results, stochastical downscaling techniques and observational datasets.
For this session, we invite papers that attempt to make such combinations for particular applications in European countries. Papers that provide guidance material for researchers in climate impacts on the use of high resolution climate scenarios are also welcomed.
