The manned exploration workshop is aimed at the science community as a kind of brainstorming experience to maximise science return from manned missions to the moon, Mars and any manned station for example at the Lagrange points. The manned programme is bound to be associated with heavy spacecrafts and the unmanned testing of these vehicles could be used to test equipments which have been excluded from automatic missions up to now. This workshop intends to open the reflection on this point.
