The geological record indicates warm climates in the past related to elevated greenhouse gases, changes in the geography, and climatic factors. In this session, several warm climate intervals will be examined to improve the understanding of future climate evolution. The session will include results from paleoclimate simulations using coupled paleontological and geochemical data, refined paleogeographic reconstructions, and the study of the effects of climate change on terrestrial and marine organisms.
