Information - AS1.16 Stratospheric Dynamics and Ozone
Event Information
We invite contributions looking into the variability and trends of dynamics and ozone in the stratosphere, and how they are caused and related. Understanding the impact of e.g. volcanoes, ENSO, solar cycle and GHG trends on the stratosphere, and in particular the resulting consequences for variability and trends in dynamics and ozone are still a major challenge. Studies trying to disentangle these signals, underlying mechanisms and interactions in dynamics and ozone from observational or model data using a wide variety of different methodologies would form welcome contributions to this session. Note that this session tries to encourage a broad cross-section of presentations relating to the above-mentioned theme, fostering the exchange of ideas how different aspects may interact with each other in the stratosphere.
