Information - NP1.02/ERE2 Nonlinear problems of wind energy (co-organized by ERE)
Event Information
One of the most promising way for sustainable energy production is
the wind energy conversion. The high
efficiency level has led to tremendous increase in the electrical
power production world wide. The next challenges
are the further increase of the efficiency and the wind energy
conversion offshore. One central challenge
of this technique lies in the understanding of the nature of the
energy resource, i.e. the understanding
of the turbulent wind fields and their interaction with a wind
turbine. Both aspects are intrinsically nonlinear
