History of Meteorology will address historical facts and great steps forward in the development of meteorology as discipline. Contributions can describe how
understanding of atmospheric phenomena, development of instruments and methods, or data exchange evolved in time, as well as how perception of meteorology among general public changed. Also the impacts of significant single weather or climate events on society and policy will be focussed in this session.
