Information - C2.1 Solar and Extra-Terrestrial Influence in the Middle Atmosphere and Associated Coupling Mechanisms through Dynamics, Composition and Electro-Dynamics
Event Information
This session invites contributions which address solar and extra-terrestrial influences on the middle atmosphere and on the coupling mechanisms which cause these influences. Included are the effects of energetic particles (on constituents, aerosols and ionization) and solar electromagnetic radiation (on temperature and constituents: water, ozone, etc.) and the associated feedback mechanisms on dynamics (including waves), energetics and electrodynamics. The timescales being considered range from those associated with solar variability to longer term climate change. Papers involving observations (ground based, satellites) and/or modelling are solicited.
