					| "Theory and simulation of solar system plasmas" aims to highlight results that come from theoretical investigations and numerical simulations of the
plasma dynamics in the solar system. The theoretical approach must allow to
evidence the universality of the phenomena being investigated, whatever the
region where their role is studied; at the Sun, in the solar corona, in the
interplanetary space or in planetary magnetospheres. All possible
theoretical studies concerning plasma dynamics are welcome, especially those
using numerical models and simulation, since these tools are mandatory
whenever analytical treatments fail, in particular when complex nonlinear
 phenomena are at work.

The 2007 session has a bipolar agenda, as we encourage contributions
concerning the measurement of chaos and turbulence, and global modelling
beyond the MHD approach. The former focusses in validating the non-linear
theories using data and simulations: spectra, higher order statistics,
structure functions, measure of phase coherence, and locality. The latter
aims to discuss the challenges in global MHD modelling, encouraging
especially new results from global hybrid or coupled codes during major
storms, which are typically badly modelled by the global MHD.

As in the past, after the meeting a special issue of the AGU-EGU journal
"Nonlinear Processes in Geophysics" will be prepared gathering appropriate
 contributions of this session.
