The aims and scope of the session are, to collect papers showing research results of feedbacks between climate and phenology as well as agricultural production.
Oral and poster presentations are invited in all fields of agrometeorology such as : climate change impacts on agricultural production; climate scenarios for agricultural applications; crop modeling, i.e. modeling climate change impacts; modeling climatologically induced diseases and pests; climate and application of agroclimatic indices and models to assess the impacts of climate and hazards on agriculture; weather extremes and risk of agricultural prediction; past, present and future trends of agroclimatic indices and models; climate change impacts on animals; agricultural production under extreme climatic conditions; end-user-software developed for agroclimatological purposes, etc..
Phenology is the study of the timing of recurring seasonal patterns as developmental stages of plants and animals. Initiation of plant growth, plant development through stages or appearance and departure of migrating birds, timing of animal breeding are all fields of phenology. Many of these phenological events are very sensitive to environmental changes, thus phenology provides an important view on the consequences of global change at the local and global scale. Moreover, we encourage papers from all areas of phenology: plant – animal, ground based and remote sensing data, we also like to invite papers on phenological networking, standardization of observing practices, phenological modeling, phenology and gas exchange (analysis of measured CO2 and H2O fluxes), use of phenological information in agriculture, etc..
