Information - OS1 Open session on large scale ocean circulation variability (co-listed CL, BG) (including Fridjof Nansen Medal Lecture)
Event Information
Contributions concerning any aspect of global ocean circulation are welcome, including studies of basin-scale wind driven gyres and process studies of specific current systems. This year we particularly encourage submissions on the time variability of the thermohaline overturning circulation in all ocean basins. Contributions based on observations and on modeling are equally welcome. We also encourage submissions that do not fit into any of the other special sessions.
