Information - PLC1 Climate Change & Extreme Events
Event Information
The impact of global and regional climate change mechanisms on all aspects of Mediterranean storm formation, evolution, structure and strength will be examined. Particular interested should be devoted to medium and long range trends in the dynamics and precipitation thus contributing to a better predictability of storms in the area. Contributions are solicited dealing with 1) observations by means of ground networks and satellite remote sensing, 2) global and regional weather and climate modelling, 3) hydrological and land-atmosphere interactions monitoring and forecasting, and 4) special emphasis will be given to extreme events and their potential increasing trend under global warming.
