Information - SM16 New approaches to seismological data mining and real time seismology
Event Information
New data are being created in seismology at an unprecedented rate, even urther increasing in the near future. Traditionally, seismologists look t all waveforms recorded by their observatory or at all traces required for their research project. This "manual" approach will not be possible in the future and a paradigm shift in how we extract parameters and information from continuous streams and vast amount of data is eminent. We would like to invite contributions from a broad spectrum from seismology, reaching from basic software development for routine observatory analysis to highly specialized research topics.
