Information - TS10.6 Active Tectonics of the Circum-Adriatic Region

Event Information
The Adriatic region is surrounded by deforming belts of diverse character. Transpressional, contractional, strike-slip and extensional domains are all present and define the complex and varied kinematic nature of the boundaries of the Adria plate. In this session, contributions are invited from workers incorporating structural, geophysical, seismological, remote sensing, geodetic and thermochronological methods to better understand the crustal evolution and ongoing development of one of Europe's most interesting tectonic regions. Contributions that address modern earthquake hazards in the circum-Adriatic region are also invited.
