Information - NH11.03 Satellite Remote Sensing Applications for Urban Damage Detection

Event Information
The main scope of the session is to present new developments and applications of the use of SAR and optical satellite remote sensing for investigating the effects of natural hazard phenomena on urban areas. Great emphasis will be given to the advances of SAR and optical data fusion approach. In particular, we will focus on the results of the application of damage detection techniques to recent natural disasters. Moreover, the development of new methodologies for change detection, damage classification and data validation with ground survey results will be among the main topics.
