Accurately predicting wind resources for wind energy development on- and off-shore is a major challenge due to limited measurements, the complexity of boundary-layer flow and the range of time scales from hourly to decadal. Papers which address methodologies for wind and/or wave assessment and their integration are particularly welcome.
Furthermore, we invite papers on prediction of wind climates, vertical profile extrapolation from measurement height to turbine hub-height, turbine wake interactions, resource prediction at offshore and coastal wind farms, turbulence, flow in complex terrain, short-term forecasting and the application of new measurement techniques e.g. remote sensing. Research results based on modelling and/or measurements are welcome.
