Information - NP2.01 Dynamical System approaches to fundamental problems in Geophysics

Event Information
As in previous years, we encourage contributions where dynamical
systems theory (e.g., bifurcation theory) is used to tackle problems in
geophysics and, in particular, in oceanography, meteorology and
(paleo)climate dynamics. We also welcome contributions on innovative
methodology (both analytical and computational) to analyze the behavior
of deterministic and stochastic dynamical systems.

Preliminary List of Solicited Speakers
Confirmed:

1. Neil Balmforth, U. British Columbia, Canada on
"Nonlinear Dynamics of Sand Ripples"
2. J. Frederiksen, CSIRO, Australia on
"The role of dynamical vectors (SVs, LVs, NMs and FTNMS and
possibly POPs and FTPOPs) in atmospheric dynamics and predictability"
3. Mogens Jensen, Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, Denmark
on "Dynamical Systems Approach to Turbulence"
