Information - TP8 Martian Life, Past, Present and Future
Event Information
All the new missions to Mars have a mandate to search for life and traces of past life in order to obtain a weaver on planetary protections rules to allow a manned flight.
The questions asked are quite fundamental: could life have originated and survived on Mars? Did past meteorites and present spacecraft bring life to Mars? How will life evolve on Mars ater the manned mission? Which measurement can detect life? Which evidence can prove the incompatibility of the Mars environment with life?
This session is open to all type of relevant communications from the instrumental aspects to the purely theoretical.
The session organisation to fit with the worshop aspect of the EUROPLANET should leave ample time for discussion.
