Information - NP3.08 Scales and scaling in groundwater and surface hydrology (co-listed in HS)

Event Information
The issue of scales is inseparable from hydrology. The question of how results can be extrapolated from one scale to another is being tackled by many researchers around the globe. This session is devoted to scales and scaling in both groundwater and surface hydrology, with attention to both scientific and engineering aspects. It is our intention to approach this complex issue in a broad way in order to encompass different scales both in time and space including interactions between processes at different scales. Posters focusing on a specific scale, either for surface or groundwater processes and modelling, are also welcome.
