Information - NP4.02 Pattern and Structure in the Geosciences
Event Information
The purpose of this session is to invite participants to discuss recent, topical issues in geophysical fluid dynamics and in the dynamics of pattern formation in the environment. The main connecting thread is fluid mechanics, as applied in geophysics, and including issues such as geophysical turbulence, coherent structures, mathematics of natural patterns, dynamics of complex and granular geological fluids, and so on. Such theory finds applications in the atmospheric and oceanic sciences, geology and geomorphology.
