  Information - B0.1 The Moon: Recent Results, Science, Future Robotic and Human Exploration

Event Information
With the upcoming fleet of lunar missions, and the announcement of new lunar exploration initiatives, the B0.1 session on “The Moon: Recent Results, Science, Future Robotic and Human Exploration”, at Beijing 2006 COSPAR assembly, will be timely to cover the following aspects:
- Science of the Moon as keystone for planetary research
- Lunar results from SMART-1 and latest space missions
- Status of lunar missions under development (Chang’E, Selene, Chandrayaan-1, Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter)
- Landers, rovers, robotic outposts and sample return missions
- Astronomy from the Moon
- Life sciences on the Moon
- Robotic villages, resources utilisation, and preparation for human exploration
- Living and working on the Moon
- International collaboration, planetary protection and sustained lunar development
- Presentations of space agencies programmes and roadmaps for Moon-Mars exploration

In addition to solicited talks, authors are encouraged to submit papers for contributed oral presentations or posters, on the above topics and other lunar research.
