Information - NP6.03 Jets and Vortices

Event Information
This session is concerned with the nonlinear dynamics of jets and
vortices with applications to the Earth's oceans and planetary
atmospheres. Jets, Plumes and Vortices can be considered as the coherent
structures in quasi two-dimensional flows that occur in confined flows
such as in thin films, rotating and/or stratified fluids. Topics that
will be dealt with are the dynamics of fronts, coherent vortex
structures, their mutual interaction as well as their interaction with
waves. Numerical, theoretical as well as experimental contributions
are wellcome.
