In a short series of invited presentations key processes, phenomena, and recent results are discussed. Themes include plasma systems ranging from simple single-fluid plasmas to complex, multicomponent and even dusty environments, as well as interactions of the magnetospheres with the planetary ionospheres, atmospheres, and surfaces. Please note that this session is not open for submission of contributed abstracts.
