Information - NH11.05 Advances in InSAR techniques for the analysis of natural hazard phenomena (co-listed in GI)
Event Information
The main scope of the session is to present new developments and applications of the nterferometric SAR technology for investigating natural hazard phenomena. Great emphasis will be given to the advances of the Differential Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometry (DInSAR) techniques that represent key tools for the investigation of different geophysical processes due to their capability to produce spatially dense deformation maps with centimeter to millimeter accuracy. In particular, we will focus on the development of innovative DInSAR algorithms and applications for studying single deformation episodes and for the analysis of the temporal e volution of detected displacements, via the generation of deformation time-series. The exploitation of the InSAR technology for the generation of high resolution and/or large scale digital elevation models will be also considered as a key topic.
