Child Care (Deadline: 31 March 2008)
| EGU provides its own professional Child Care facilities in the congress center. Two separate rooms will be available close to the lecture room areas but not within the hectic and turmoil of the congress. The service will be provided from Monday, 14 April – Friday, 18 April 2008 split into two time blocks per day: |  |

The organizers kindly ask a financial contributions of 10,- EUR per child and time block. Our capacity is limited per block and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
At the congress, please contact the EGU Info Desk to pay the financial contribution (cash only).
If you participate, you can choose between two rooms (next to each other):
- The playing-room where professional childminder take great care of your child (age 3 – 8). Please note that no food or drinks will be provided and that there is no possibility for a nap.
- The experimental workshops for kids (age 5 – 12). Please find further information below.
Experimental Workshops for Kids
From Monday, 14 April – Friday, 18 April 2008 the Bremen UNISchoollab offers experiments for kids (age 5 – 12). Twice a day, from 10:00–12:00 and from 14:00–16:00, an experienced assistant from the Bremen schoollab invites kids to playfully unravel mysteries of mathematics and nature. During the hands-on experiments kids can build so-called “Leonardo-Bridges”, and find out interesting facts about geometry and how it rules the system of nature. Other experiments will show why things weigh differently in water compared to air. |
