Report - CL38/GI12 Earth System Modelling: Strategies and Software (co-organized by GI, co-listed in AS, HS & OS)

Report
The session received 21 contributions in total, one poster has been cancelled,
two posters were not on presentation, 2 authors did not show up during the
scheduled time for authors in attendance. Oral and poster sessions started and
completed in time. All oral presenters finished their talks within the given
time, the quality of the presentations being excellent. The oral session was
well perceived and has been attended by 80 to 90 people. The poster session
was attended by a lesser number of people (~40), nevertheless lively discussions
took place for the whole 90 minutes. The increasing number of attendants
compared to the years before could be an indication of the growing interest for
this topic in the geoscience community and improved visibility of this session
due to co-sponsoring and co-listing.

The scheduling of the sessions was excellent with the oral session followed by
the poster session at the same day.
