Publication - TS33 Faulting, flow, and the role of fluids in crustal deformation

Publication of Proceedings
Dear fellows participating at the TS33 meeting during the EGU conference in Vienna,

As most of you may have noticed, at least four sessions announced in the call for abstracts programme have been merged into the TS33 session; actually that makes sense as the session topics were very similar. The session comprises now approx. 70 contributions. Unfortunately, the session was provided with only three time blocks for oral presentations, which is rather disproportional. Thus, it was impossible to accept more than 18 contributions for an oral presentation; the other contributions (approx. 50) had to be moved to the poster session.

Anyway, we intend to edit a Special Volume concerning the topic of the TS33 session, preferrably a “Special Publication of the Journal of the Geological Society of London”. Ideally a Special Publication would have 15-25 papers forming a coherent collection on the latest research in the subject area.
Other options may the the Journal of Structural Geology, or Tectonophysics. Therefore, I would like to ask all the convenors of the TS33 session to support us in acting as editors as well.

Please let me (Walter Kurz) know if you intend to submit a paper by sending us a short message so that we may asses the number of contributions and the potential for a Special Volume.
