Publication - IS57 - SM24/AS4.04 Research and Development in Nuclear Explosion Monitoring (co-organised by SM & AS)

Publication of Proceedings
A Special Issue on the 2007 and 2008 instances of this Session shall be published as a Topical Volume of the Journal "Pure and Applied Geophysics" (PAGEOPH; http://www.springer.com/series/4927).

Topical Volume Title: "Recent Advances in Nuclear Explosion Monitoring".

Scope: Although the intention is that this Special Volume be devoted primarily to papers presented at EGU2007 and EGU2008, specifically with CTBTO monitoring, PAGEOPH also welcomes contributions from the broader nuclear-monitoring community. Review articles are also very welcome. Papers are required to be written in English. The authors are reminded that the papers comprising this Special Volume are not strictly journal papers in the usual sense and that authors have some further latitude on the inclusion of supporting material such as historical or background information, but that the discussion also not drift to far from what is indicated by the title and contained in the abstract.

Authors for 24 papers have already committed themselves to submit a manuscript but further interested authors are still invited to join. This call closes with the deadline for manuscript submission, i.e. Tuesday 30 September 2008!

All authors should use the PAGEOPH Editorial Manager for their submission
URL of Editorial Manager: http://www.editorialmanager.com/pageoph/
To do so:
1.) Register with the Editorial Manager
2.) Login and click on 'Submit a Manuscript'
3.) When asked to 'Select Article Type' choose the bottom entry 'Report - Topical Volume' from the related drop list
For cross-reference all authors who have COMPLETED their manuscript submission (clicked on 'approve submission') are requested to indicate that with a short notice to andreas.becker@ctbto.org, thanks!

The Instructions for Authors for manuscript submission to "Pure and Applied Geophysics" (PAGEOPH; http://www.springer.com/birkhauser/geo+science/journal/24) apply!

Further requirements:
* Lower page limit: 8 printed pages (i.e. 15-20 manuscript pages!)
* There is no upper page limit

The Session Organizers (Dr. Bernd Schurr, GFZ Potsdam; Prof. Dr. Martin Kalinowski, ZNF University of Hamburg; and Dr. Andreas Becker, CTBTO PrepCom, Vienna) will serve as Guest Editors of this PAGEOPH Topical Volume. They are joined by Dr. Karl Koch and Dr. David Brown from CTBTO PrepCom, Vienna. All Guest Editors are looking forward to your valuable manuscript submissions.
