Information - CL10 Probabilistic Climate Forecasting

Event Information
To quantify the risks associated with climate change there is a need to objectively quantify uncertainty in climate projections and therefore carry out probabilistic analyses of future climate. This is a relatively new field of research and we welcome all contributions addressing potential methods for producing such probabilistic information. The focus of the session is on practical procedures for quantifying uncertainty so we hope to have a number presentations using the results of climate models; particularly ensembles of climate simulations. We welcome studies looking at global scales, regional scales, impact studies, the propogation of uncertainty between different disciplines, and the form in which probablistic climate information is most useful for government, industry and the general public.
