Information - MPRG14 The effect of temperature on rock properties

Event Information
In this session we want to discuss the effect of temperature on different rock properties, including seismic, thermal and electrical conductivity and, more importantly, rock rheology.
We would like to put together scientists from different disciplines, spanning from the petrology community to geophysics and rock physics, in order to discuss different aspect of the thermal state of the earth under dynamic conditions.
Also field studies are welcome. Several scientists use seismic wave velocity variations to predict temperature with depth, under the assumption that lithology variation has a minor effect. We will invite contributions on these topics to stimulate discussion.

Preliminary List of Solicited Speakers
Invited keynote speakers will illuminate us on the laboratory perspective (G. Dresen), field perspective (J.-P. Burg), and numerical modeling (T. Gerya).
