This session aims at bringing together researchers using terrestrial proxies (e.g. from paleobotany and soils) for climate and other environmental data with marine geologists, paleontologists, and numerical modellers in order to improve our understanding of Miocene climate changes.We invite presentations focusing on all aspects of Miocene climate development, such as, for example, quantification of mid-Miocene warming, reconstruction of pCO2, terrestrial and marine carbon isotope records, organic carbon sequestration, ocean circulation, marine productivity, and the role of uplift and weathering Preliminary List of Solicited Speakers Thomas Brachert Louis Francois Ann Holbourn Arne Micheels Co-Sponsorship General Statement The information contained hereafter has been compiled and uploaded by the Session Organizers via the "Organizer Session Form".
