Information - IS55 - SM4/TS17 Multidisciplinary Studies of the Continental Lithosphere (co-organized by SM & TS)

Event Information
What do we really know about the Continental Lithosphere? What is our greatest
lack of knowledge, and what data do we need to acquire in order to address that
lack? These questions are at the heart of this session on Multidisciplinary
Studies of the Continental Lithosphere.

This session will bring together geophysicists, geologists, geochemists,
petrologists, and geochronologists to try to further our understanding of the
formation, deformation and destruction processes of the Continental Lithosphere.
A particular focus is whether there is any identifiable secular variation in
these processes, with the possibility that processed that occurred in the
Archean no longer operating.

We invite and welcome contributions from anyone who has insight to bring on the
continental lithosphere.
