Information - EBM9 Editorial Board Meeting of Nonlinear Processes in Geophysics

Event Information
Nonlinear Processes in Geophysics, Editorial Board Meeting on Tuesday 15 April 2008, 12:00 - 13:30, in the Austria Center Vienna (ACV) in Board Meeting Room 37 [Purple level, which is the third floor, you will find a floor plan here: http://meetings.copernicus.org/egu2008/download/purple_level.pdf].

As usual, a light lunch-buffet will be served. Please note that the meeting this year is only 1.5 hours TOTAL so we will try to start promptly on time. It is understood that some people will arrive a little late/leave a little early, due to sessions.

If you are able to let me know you are coming by reply to this e-mail to nh-malamud@kcl.ac.uk, that would be great, as I would like to get numbers, but if not, please just show up. Please just reply to 'me' and not the whole group.

The last 12 months have been very busy, with a large number of papers submitted, some very successful special issues, a new NPG web page designed, some new manuscript types incorporated (which many of you gave useful feedback on), some improvements to the COSIS system (e.g. ability to do a 'personal' note within the COSIS system when you call a referee), and a large amount of activity of the 'publications committee' [all the chief editors of the EGU journals]. In addition, many of you have been very active on behalf of NPG doing a number of activities, which has been appreciated.

In order to streamline our discussions, the following is an initial agenda, which I would be happy to add to or revise according to your comments (if you could let me know by e-mail suggested changes in the next couple days).

[Agenda sent by COSIS forum and by e-mail to all editors.]

Looking forward to seeing you soon

Bruce D. Malamud, Chief Executive Editor, Nonlinear Processes in Geophysics
[On behalf of the other executive editors for NPG: Steve Wiggins, Jürgen Kurths, Al Osborne]
