Event Information
L. F. Richardson Medal, which is presented annually by the Division of Nonlinear Processes in Geosciences, recognises Professor Yaglom's pioneering contributions in several areas of nonlinear science, notably statistical theory of turbulence, atmospheric dynamics and diffusion, including spectral techniques and stochastic and cascade models. Researchers in these and related subjects have long been influenced by his publications, including a celebrated book with A. S. Monin. A brilliant scientist noted for his modesty, integrity and friendliness, he will be missed by friends and colleagues throughout the world.
