Event Information
This meeting deals with the design and technical planning status of the European Research Icebreaker - AURORA BOREALIS. A brief overview of the current planning is given, to be followed by an introduction to the preliminary general arrangement plans, the layout for laboratory space requirements, and initial design proposals for the deep-sea drilling rig.
This overview is to be followed by an interactive discussion about technical and scientific workspace requirements in light of the preliminary design. The aim is to provide additional feedback by the prospective science user community to the general contractor for naval architecture at an early planning stage and to update on the technical status of the project.
