Information - NP6.02 Nonlinear Waves, Instabilities and Wave-flow interactions (co-listed in OS)

Event Information
We are mainly interested in works on geophysical fluid dynamics
concerned
with nonlinear wave processes of whatever scales, wave-related
instabilities and wave-turbulence interactions. The areas of interest
include nonlinear dynamics of surface water waves with and without
wind, internal waves, wave-turbulence interactions, solitons, wave
generation by currents in ocean and atmosphere, nonlinear stages of
flow instabilities, critical layers, wave-induced pattern formation,
including morphodynamic, etc. Biological phenomena related to
underlying fluid dynamics are also within the scope of the session.
The aims of the session are to discuss the mathematical models on which
the description of a variety of nonlinear geophysical phenomena can be
based, investigate specific physical mechanisms of these phenomena, and
discuss their observations. Theoretical, numerical, experimental and
observational (including remote sensing) presentations are welcome.
