Information - MPRG11 Electromagnetic images of the Earth

Event Information
Electromagnetic induction studies are widely applied to investigate the Earth from a few meters to hundreds of kilo-meters below the surface. They are used for exploration and environmental problems, and also for investigating the deeper structure of the Earth, especially to locate major fault zones. The Alps, the Pannonian Basin, Carpathians, and the Dinarides together form one of the systems that offer an outstanding opportunity to study the interaction of asthenospheric and lithospheric processes and their mutual dependencies. We encourage submission of papers both on theoretical and experimental aspects of geo-electromagnetic induction: new theoretical results, laboratory work, data processing and modelling tools, inversion schemes, electromagnetic induction field studies, completed with other geophysical and geological investigations. It follows from the "Sense of Place" (genius loci) of EGU 2005 that among local and regional field studies those ones carried out in the aforementioned region are especially welcome.
Both oral and poster presentations are possible.
